Development Car D20 was shipped from Louts to Olsen Engineering along with Pilot 19-21 for emission testing. After DMC went into liquidation the cars were sold of by Olsen

During the late 1980's the car was kept on the road, and some parts were swapped out for production parts.

 

Around this time the car was painted black due to the many imperfections in the sheet metal. Knowing these cars it’s understandable as all pilot cars parts, especially the sheet metal do not interact very well together!

The car was well looked after by Sascha Skucek who we purchased the car from. Sascha helped display the car and drive her across the US currently she is the only drivable Lotus pilot, however D19 is close to being in that position.
